Ego
Everyone has as ego and it's not always a bad thing. However if we don't learn to tame it and prevent it from getting the best of us, we will continuously make decision that feed it, rather than our soul. This is quickest way to avoid real happiness. Our ego seeks pleasure in the wrong places. One way it does this by validating your exintence through attention and instant gratification. The reason some people announce their next move is purely for ego boost. They want others to acknowledge their progress or make them feel jealous. Those who resist growth may deny this, but some of us may only share posts online to impress others. Sadly this happiness never lasts because it only stroks the hairs on your ego. It starves the soul and as a result you'll always feel unfulfilled. Your inner growth is all about getting to a stage where you don't need approval from anyone else.
